Ladies Who Lunch II

I am pleased to have an all-girl homeroom this year. I taught at Mount Saint Mary in Kenmore for several years, and discovered that the girls formed very strong bonds at their all-female high school. Four years ago at DeSales I requested a same-sex homeroom, hoping that the girls, who at that time had very different interests, and who were sometimes not as kind and respectful to one another as they should be, would grow closer by being with one another every morning and sharing lunch and other activities they planned together.It worked like a charm! The nearly equal number of boys and girls in this year's eighth grade allows us to have another "Ladies Who Lunch" year. I will update you on our lunch plans and activities as this promising year progresses.
